New training kits to help local authority staff tackle the climate emergency

The Carbon Literacy Project has launched new training kits to help local authority staff tackle the climate emergency.

Funded by BEIS and the GMCA, the free kits* will enable anyone with training experience and knowledge of climate change to train council staff. Co-authored and trialled by council staff, the training covers a day’s-worth of learning and action-planning and can be delivered via the main video platforms or face to face. The kits consist of slides, activity resources and a comprehensive trainer manual.

The Carbon Literacy Project is initially hosting two briefing sessions to introduce the kits and take questions.

Session 1 – Tuesday 29 September, 2-3pm

This session is for authorities who have attended Carbon Literacy events or have been briefed by the Project. It will only look at the content of the training kits and will have no information about Carbon Literacy as a whole.

Session 2 (for beginners) – Tuesday 6 October, 2-3.30pm

This session is aimed at authorities who have had no prior contact with the Project, and will start with a briefing on the Project before introducing the kits.

The Carbon Literacy Project is not for profit – owned by the Carbon Literacy Trust and delivered by Cooler Projects CIC.
